Danny Cahill, winner of the Biggest Loser is coming to Holy Names Catholic High School. On Thursday, May 8th at 7:00 pm, come learn a story and learn strategies that will change your life forever. “No matter the obstacle, challenge or dream – nothing is too big if you ‘Lose Your Quit’ and decide to go the distance. The hard part is getting through those times when it seems like you are making little or no progress – like everything you’re doing just isn’t making a difference. The truth is that the difference between those who complete the race set before them and those who give up is a single decision made a thousand times over – to simply FINISH! So how do you make that decision over and over? Listen to Danny Cahill, Season 8 winner of NBC’s The Biggest Loser share what he learned on the Ranch in California while losing 239 pounds in less than 7 months that made the difference in his Journey. The very lessons he learned there are the same principles you can use in your daily struggles to overcome anything life can throw your way!”

Each Year the Catholic community of Ontario engages in a week long celebration of the unique identity and distinctive contributions of Cathoic Education during Education Week.
This year's celebration entitled "Catholic Education: Serving in the Love of Christ" is scheduled for the week of May 4 to May 9, 2014. The scriptural passage that guides our theme is: "I am among you as one serves". Luke 22:27e
One of the themes is "Serve with joy"
Loving Jesus, teach us to be people known for our joy. May each act of service be a joyful act. May joy ring through our homes, schools and churches. May we always have joy for our journeys. Grant us the grace of joy.
What brings me joy? How can I bring joy to others?

During this Easter season, the grade 8's of Sacred Heart School will be holding a blanket drive from April 14th - April 25th for the Windsor Downtown Mission. We would ask that you please donate new or gently used blankets. Please drop the blankets off at Sacred Heart School.
This project is being put on by the grade 8's and is the result of a workshop on social justice that some of our students attended. The grade 8's would now like to give back to the community; so please donate a blanket to support the Downtown Mission.
Sacred Heart School and the Downtown Mission thank you in advance, for your generosity.
Please have a safe and Blessed Easter!
